A podcast is an audio file (or a regular series of audio files) on any
topic produced by anyone, available to listen to on the web or to download
to an iPod or other portable mp3 player. (An “mp3” is a type of
file format for music or audio files.) The WBP’s podcast, “The
Scientist & the Ethicists,” is a series of recorded interviews
discussing emerging reproductive and genetic technologies.
Many podcasts are available by free “subscription,” either from the source website or from an online podcast directory.
“The Scientist & the Ethicists” is also available at the following directories:

“The Scientist & the Ethicists” podcast series is funded in part by
a grant from Humanities Washington, a nonprofit foundation providing
cultural and education programs. The podcasts are an extension of the
Women’s Bioethics Project Book Club, which encourages book clubs across
America to read popular works of fiction that raise bioethical issues
and to use WBP-provided discussion materials to evaluate the various
bioethics issues presented.
