Women's Bioethics Project

Founder's Statement of Purpose

My personal passion is the intersection of technology, particularly bioengineering, and humanity. Advances in bioengineering can offer great improvements in the way people work and live, but they also demand that we examine and define the fundamental questions of what it means to be human and what kind of society we want in the future.

How do we, as a society with many differing religious traditions, secular experiences and needs, develop an ethical matrix that optimizes the use of technology while recognizing and anticipating its impact on human society and culture? By founding the Women's Bioethics Project, my mission is to help our society bring women's voices to bear on these fundamental questions.
